Flow Energy

Flow is where we feel and perform at our best. 

This exercise is  designed to create a flow state on demand to create. 

In flow, concentration becomes so laser-focused that everything else falls away. Action and awareness merge. Our sense of self and our sense of self consciousness completely disappear. Time dilates—meaning it slows down (like the freeze frame of a car crash) or speeds up (and five hours pass by in five minutes). And throughout, all aspects of performance are incredibly heightened—and that includes creative performance.

We are combining peak performance disciplines to create an intense period of creation.

Timed

Having a timer running is a marvelous way to develop concentration, it gives you a deadline. 

Open ended tasks can feel grueling. Knowing your time commitment allows you to relax. 

Concentration and relaxation. 

I recommend 15-30 minutes.

Intention

What are you here to create or help emerge into the world?

  • Brainstorm
  • A life problem
  • Visioning your life 
  • Relationships
  • Habits
  • Make better decisions
  • Resolve Life issues
  • Any research is done before the flow creation.

Freewriting

Freewriting is simple. Write without stopping or editing or thinking just let it flow on to the page. Just accept what comes to your mind and write. 

Your creative brain is different from your critical brain and only one of them can work at a time. We are here to let your creative side….create. 

Create first. Edit later. 

Fast relaxed writing is the goal.

Breath

Before you begin writing we will practice a 6 min breath exercise. This is to change your state of mind into the best version of yourself. 

This breathwork will help you be in a relaxed, creative, free flowing state of mind. 

This will create a feeling of light euphoria and an open and creative mind. 

Before You Begin

  • Something to Write With
  • A timer – I use the countdown timer on my phone. The phone is set to Do Not Disturb. 
  • The Breathing Exercise

Begin

  • Open to blank page. 
  • Write your intention at the top of the page
  • Set your timer 
  • Start & Finish the Breathing Exercise 
  • As soon as you have finished the breathing exercise, start your timer and have fun writing.
